Educational Guide to the Bear Trap Event – Generation 1 Heroes
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I would like to share some important information about the Bear Trap event to help all alliance members achieve the highest possible damage and make the best use of rallies.
It is important to understand that success in this event does not depend solely on troop numbers or the displayed power of heroes. It also depends on selecting the right heroes, understanding their skills, and organizing them correctly when launching or joining rallies.
1. The Difference Between Launching and Joining a Rally
There is an important difference between these two situations:
Launching a Rally: When you launch a rally yourself, the skills of all three heroes you select affect the rally’s performance. Therefore, you should choose the appropriate hero formation while considering their development levels, skills, and equipment.
Joining a Rally: When you join a rally launched by another member, the most important factor is the hero placed in the first slot on the left. This hero’s first Expedition Skill is the one considered when evaluating the reinforcement skill contributed to the rally.
This means that hero selection when joining a rally is different from hero selection when launching one.
2. Recommended Heroes for Joining Bear Trap Rallies
For Generation 1 heroes, the following heroes are the main options we should focus on when joining rallies:
1. Chenko
Chenko is one of the suitable purple heroes for joining Bear Trap rallies. It is recommended to upgrade Chenko’s first Expedition Skill and use this hero as the reinforcement leader.
2. Yeonwoo
Yeonwoo is another suitable purple hero. The level of Yeonwoo’s first Expedition Skill should be considered when comparing this hero with other options.
3. Amane
Amane is a purple hero who can be useful for rally reinforcements. The level of Amane’s first Expedition Skill and its effect on damage should be taken into account.
4. Amadeus
Amadeus is a gold (Legendary) hero, not a purple hero. Amadeus is one of the options worth considering as a reinforcement leader, depending on the level of the hero’s first Expedition Skill.
Important Note: The order of the heroes listed above does not mean that the first hero is always better than the second. The correct comparison depends on the relevant skill, its upgrade level, and its actual effect.
3. Is a Gold Hero Always Better Than a Purple Hero?
Not necessarily.
One common mistake is choosing a gold hero simply because the hero is Legendary or has a higher displayed power than a purple hero.
When joining a Bear Trap rally, the focus should be on the first Expedition Skill of the hero leading the reinforcement march.
For example, if Chenko’s relevant skill has been upgraded to Level 5, while another hero has a suitable skill at Level 3, you should not automatically choose the second hero simply because that hero has higher overall power.
You must compare the type of skill, its level, and its effect rather than relying only on hero rarity or displayed power.
4. What About Helga, Saul, and Jabel?
Helga: One of the powerful heroes who can be useful when launching a rally. However, Helga is not automatically the best choice when simply joining another member’s rally.
Saul: Saul can be useful when launching a rally, depending on the hero’s development level, skills, and equipment. However, Saul is not among the primary heroes we rely on as reinforcement leaders for Bear Trap rallies.
Jabel: Jabel’s role should be evaluated based on the hero’s skills and how the hero is used. We should not assume Jabel is suitable for leading reinforcements simply because of high displayed power.
The fundamental rule is that a hero suitable for launching a rally is not necessarily suitable for joining one.
5. Why Must the Correct Hero Be Placed in the First Slot?
When preparing a march to join a rally, three hero slots are displayed.
The hero whose reinforcement skill we want to benefit from must be placed in the first slot on the left.
Placing that hero in the second or third slot does not achieve the same purpose when calculating the reinforcement leader’s skill.
Therefore, always check your hero formation before sending your march.
6. The Risk of Joining With an Unsuitable Hero
This is an extremely important point for all members.
When a player joins a rally with a hero who does not provide the appropriate skill, that player’s participation may affect the skills benefiting the rally, particularly if the hero’s skill is selected among the participating reinforcement skills.
As a result, sending an unsuitable hero may not simply reduce the damage of your own march. It may also reduce the total damage that the entire rally could have achieved.
Therefore, players should not focus only on their heroes’ individual power. They must also consider the benefit their heroes provide to the other participants.
This is not about individual strength. It is about teamwork to achieve the highest possible damage.
7. What Should I Do if I Do Not Have a Suitable Hero?
If you do not have one of the recommended heroes, or if their skills have not been upgraded sufficiently, it is better not to place a random hero in the first reinforcement slot.
You may join with troops and no heroes, provided the rally mechanics allow it, rather than sending a leader who could occupy a position that might otherwise be used for a more beneficial reinforcement skill.
This is better than assuming that any powerful hero will automatically increase rally damage.
8. Organizing Rallies and Making the Best Use of Event Time
To achieve the best collective result, we must focus on organizing participation, not just selecting heroes.
Qualified members should launch rallies using suitable hero formations, while other members should join them quickly and monitor march and return times so their troops do not remain idle for long periods.
Troops should also be distributed among available rallies in a way that allows the greatest possible participation, while considering each rally’s capacity and the remaining event time.
The goal is to increase the number of effective rally participations, minimize wasted time between rallies, and achieve the highest possible total damage for the alliance.
9. The Responsibility of All Alliance Members
Success in the Bear Trap event is a shared responsibility.
A member may have a large number of troops and powerful heroes, but using an unsuitable formation may reduce the expected benefit.
On the other hand, a less powerful member may help improve rally performance by choosing the correct reinforcement leader and upgrading the appropriate skill.
Therefore, I hope all alliance members will review their heroes and Expedition Skills before participating and cooperate in using the correct formations.
Conclusion
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
To achieve the best possible results in the Bear Trap event, we must distinguish between two situations:
When Launching a Rally: Focus on the complete three-hero formation, their skills, development levels, and equipment. Helga is one of the strong options, while Saul can also be useful depending on the hero’s development.
When Joining a Rally: Focus on the reinforcement leader in the first slot on the left. Suitable heroes include Chenko, Yeonwoo, Amane, and the Legendary hero Amadeus. Compare them based on their first Expedition Skill and its upgrade level.
Do not choose a hero simply because of high displayed power. Compare the first Expedition Skill, its level, and its effect on damage. (The attached image explains what Expedition Skills are and how to identify the first Expedition Skill.)
If you do not have a suitable hero, do not send a random hero who might negatively affect the rally’s performance.
By following these guidelines and cooperating in organizing our rallies, we can improve our results and make the most of every alliance member’s capabilities.
With sincere appreciation and respect to everyone, and may Allah grant us all success.
Best regards, AFQ
