So, this is high time to do hyperactive PR and positive PR, because that’s how preconceived notions change. The more people, especially new people who come in and keep hearing bad things about you, the more they start to dislike you as well. That’s how a preconceived notion forms.
But when there is positive, hyperactive PR, like the way mahira , Ananya Panday’s PR worked, for example, they acknowledged that she wasn’t considered good at acting. So what did they do? They shifted the narrative: “Oh my God, she may not be good at acting, but she is really good at modeling. Maybe she should focus on modeling.” People then started opening up to her and saying, “Yeah, she is good at modeling. Maybe acting isn’t her strength, but she is good at modeling.” That made people more accepting of her. Otherwise, people were constantly criticizing her and questioning what her PR was saying about nepotism.Watch Ananya Panday’s on alana ivor vlogs as well, the way she groomed herself, built her social image, and pushed a particular narrative ,social building ,controling her narrative.
And the third point is: control the narrative.
For example, when Aangan came, I immediately started saying that I would ship Alia and Jameel, because I knew fans had already started saying, “How did we not realize this?” Alia and Jameel’s chemistry was actually very good and very underrated. So I went into the comments and said, “Yes, they look so good together. They were so underrated. Their chemistry was so good.”
And in my personal tweet, I said that if you are a healthy person, you will never ship Chammi and Jameel, which is my genuine opinion as well. It was a convenience-based relationship, and he didn’t get what he wanted, so he was settling for whatever was available. Chammi didn’t have that self-respect or self-centering at that point, and he treated her like an option he could have.
So I said, if you want to ship someone, you can ship Alia and Jameel and appreciate their chemistry, but you can’t romanticize Chammi and Jameel.
Chammi’s character was much more solo, complex, and layered. Her traumas shaped the way she behaved: the loudness, the masculinity, the hyperactive independence, the “I will do everything on my own” attitude. Because she didn’t have that mother-and-father love, support, security, assurance, or the princess treatment that a child receives from loving parents, she had to do everything on her own from a very young age.
So she became louder, but internally she was actually soft and simply wanted love. She was living in that masculine zone, whereas femininity is being soft and warm on the outside while still having very strong boundaries.
You are calm, regulated, composed, and relaxed. You are joyful, but you have strong boundaries. You know where and how to give your energy. You are knowledgeable, street-smart plus book-smart, which is a lethal combination.
You are very strong and firm, but internally you have a healthy mindset. You develop soft skills, interpersonal skills, charm, expressions, smiling, giggling, social skills, conflict resolution, conversation skills, and the ability to understand who should have access to you, where to give access, and how to manage that access.
And non-verbal communication is extremely important and often more impactful than verbal communication. Expressions, reactions, body language, and charm can completely change how something is received. For example, when you say something very strong but add a little giggle, it can make it feel lighthearted. When someone insults you, sometimes you can play along with it, and sometimes you simply draw a boundary. Sometimes you make them realize through your reaction that their words weren’t even funny and that you didn’t give them any importance.Everything is communicated through non-verbal cues: reactions, expressions, body language, and tone.I learned a lot from the Charisma on Command channel on YouTube, as well as from different coaches on Instagram who teach behavior, expressions, communication, and social skills. I have a few pages I follow. There is so much information and so many skills available now that people once had to learn through magazines, diplomas, or expensive courses. So when all this knowledge is available and you still choose not to level yourself up, that becomes disloyalty to yourself and self-abandonment.Groom yourself. Glow yourself up. When you wear a good outfit and look at yourself in the mirror, you automatically start feeling better internally too. You start feeling more confident because the way we see things, talk about things, and perceive ourselves affects our self-belief and mindset. It’s all sensory input. What are we consuming? What are we watching? What are we listening to? What are we repeatedly telling ourselves? If I keep watching motivational content and content about these skills, I become so eager and motivated. I start doing things, my mindset becomes clearer, and I stop being delusional. I stop giving in to emotions and unnecessary things. I don’t chase attention at all.
