New Hampshire crypto ATM protections begin December 16
Starting December 16, New Hampshire’s new protections for cryptocurrency ATM users are scheduled to take effect. NorthEast News reports that the rules include transaction limits, a delay on first-time use and a process for seeking refunds after fraud. Those measures target a familiar risk: a caller or online scammer pressuring someone to send money quickly through a machine.
A pause before a first transaction may give customers time to verify instructions, while a refund process offers a route to raise a disputed transfer. The rules do not mean every loss will automatically be reimbursed, so anyone asked to pay a bill, fee or emergency demand in crypto should independently contact the organization through a trusted number first.
