Google has released another Chrome desktop update, and this one is mainly about security. The latest Stable Channel build brings Chrome to version 150.0.7871.128 on Linux and 150.0.7871.128 or .129 on Windows and Mac.
The update is rolling out gradually, so it may not appear on every computer right away. Google says the release will reach users over the “coming days/weeks.”
The company’s official release notes confirm that the update includes seven security fixes. Three of them are rated critical and involve use-after-free bugs in Chrome’s CameraCapture, GPU and Network components.
A use-after-free flaw happens when software continues to use a section of memory after it has already been released. That can lead to crashes, but in some cases it may also allow attackers to corrupt memory or run malicious code. Google has not published detailed exploitation information for these bugs, which is common while an update is still reaching most users.
The three critical issues are tracked as CVE-2026-15899, CVE-2026-15900 and CVE-2026-15901. All three were reported by Google, with the Network vulnerability reported only recently on July 10.
The remaining four bugs are rated high severity. One is another use-after-free issue in Cast. Two more affect Ozone and Aura, while the V8 JavaScript engine received a fix for an out-of-bounds read and write vulnerability.
The V8 bug was reported by OpenAI Codex Security, credited to researcher amyb. Google lists its status as “TBD,” while the other vulnerabilities currently show no available reward information.
This release follows Google’s Chrome 150 update with 15 security fixes, which arrived just a day earlier. That update addressed two critical flaws along with several high-severity vulnerabilities.
Google is also in the middle of rolling out Chrome 151 across desktop and mobile platforms, as covered in our report on the Chrome 151 early stable update. The two releases are separate, so Chrome 150 users should still install this security update when it becomes available.
To check manually, open Chrome, select the three-dot menu, go to Settings and choose About Chrome. The browser will check for the update and install it after a restart.
